Welcome to the Lab 👋

English Lab for Life was created around one simple idea:
You don’t always need more time to improve your English. You just need to make better use of the time you already have.
A few minutes while you drink your coffee. A quiet moment during your lunch break. Ten minutes before your next meeting. A little time in the evening when you don’t feel like opening a textbook.
Those small moments can add up.
English you can actually use
English Lab for Life isn’t designed as another traditional English course. There are no long lessons to complete and no complicated study plans to follow.
Instead, the Lab is filled with short activities you can explore whenever you have a few minutes.
You can discover a new word in the Vocabulary Workbench, investigate the finer details of English Under the Microscope, look beyond the words through the Reading Lens, train your ears in the Listening Lab, put your English to work in Today’s Experiment, or simply have some fun during a Lab Break.
Choose your level, choose what interests you, and explore.
Why a Lab?
Because learning a language is an experiment.
You notice patterns. You make predictions. You try something. You make mistakes. You adjust. You try again.
And little by little, things that once felt difficult begin to feel natural.
That’s why this isn’t an English classroom.
It’s an English Lab.
Who’s behind the Lab?
Hi, I’m Magdalena. 👋
I’m the person behind English Lab for Life—and the curious mind responsible for all the specimens, experiments, investigations and occasional linguistic contamination you’ll find around here.
I created the Lab because I wanted English practice to feel useful, interesting and manageable in real life.
You’ll also meet our four-legged Lab assistant along the way. 🐾 His qualifications are questionable (although he has been co-tutoring most of my lessons), but his enthusiasm is excellent.
Come back and experiment
The Lab is always growing. New words, readings, listening activities, challenges and experiments are added regularly, so there will always be something new to discover.
You don’t have to do everything.
You don’t have to study for an hour.
Just choose something that interests you and spend a few minutes with your English.
Explore. Practise. Discover. Grow.
Welcome to English Lab for Life. 🧪
